Just A little Bit Closer

IF you have been in the photo realm you know we tend to choose a focal length that suits us. Sometimes we get stuck on a lens… Over the last few months I would shoot each walk on a specific lens. 35mm, 50mm, 85mm and 90mm.

Each of these make you see in a different way. If you choose one and go out it makes you think… feel and focus on what might inspire you. There are times when you see a shot and wish you had one of the other lenses with you… Its ok to let it pass… maybe next time… but sometimes I see shots in a telephoto way.

I have seen shots I would like to take at longer focal lengths… 100mm, 200mm or 300mm but it is always hard to do these handheld with a dog pulling your arm to sniff the next tree to piss on… but I was bold and bought a 70 to 300 f4 to 5.6 lens (technobabble) . A relatively cheap Zoom for my fuji and it did go against my core f1.2 snobbery but I want to be free to walk and shoot. No tripod or large Lens to way me down and so I present to you… My dog walking shot from a far away…
